Ever wonder why romantic bars always makes me sweat? Why no wind at night one haha. Tonight we tried Indo Chine, Empress Place. Nice live band, comfy couch with the riverside night view. Only short that the night was warm. They closed early too, at around 12 midnight everyone had gone.

Highly recommend their TLC cocktail. Very nice!

Saturday night never sleep! New place again! PS.Cafe at Ann Siang Road. Actually we wanted to go to YingYang, but it was crowded at the rooftop. And lucky from the rooftop we saw PS.Cafe just opposite looked very nice. So hence we crashed at PS.Cafe!

One word: Very good ambiance! Real cosy couch, real flora. Their half chicken smells real good.

Our drinks. Prata always take Jim Bean.

There's a DJ too! haha.

Calamari, tasted good but very little portion. The brownie is nice!

I sold my MontBlanc 100 year anniversary Starwalker pen. Bought it on 2007 at Suntec City, 4 years already haha. Like its diamond very much and bought it instantly. I didn't really use it, cos its limited edition can't bear to use it. So most of the time it was inside my drawer. I decided to sell it because i don't like to collect stuff, i not a collector. Anyway i earn $200 profit from this deal.

Smells nice whenever i passed by Suntec City Convention Centre. Tonight we go for the kill. Damage: $26.80 on weekends, buffet. A large varieties of food that you can find at normal buffets. But they also have cooked food made by chefs on the spot.

Each a steamboat. No need to share soup.

Cooked food by chef. Chicken, Mee soto, Rojak, Seafood...

Finish with cakes and fruits! Tiramisu cake is very nice! Must try!

Level 33 at Marina Bay Financial Centre! Prata and Joe1 decided on this place. They both like rooftop bar. We had a hard time finding this place.

The drinks is more expensive here, almost $20 a beer or liquor. I had stout, first time tried black beer. Tasted bitter, not very nice.

There's indoor and outdoor. We had our drinks indoor, enjoying the aircon. It was very comfortable. Their fat chips was very little though.

And there's the outdoor. Enjoy the night view of Marina Bay Sands at 33th floor.

After we had our drinks, we did not go home. We walked a long way to have supper at Plaza by the park!

Chill out again. Seems like one of my favourite things to do on weekends night. We went to Ink Club bar at Raffles City Shopping Centre. This was my 2nd visit. They have live performance. Last time was live singing pop music, tonight was classical music with piano, drum and big violin.

I ordered Johnny Walker with soda, tasted bitter. Last time i ordered a Bloody Mary tasted very spicy. I wondered why my picks so bad here. Haha.

They have very tall seats, quite good spot for isolation.

Chris advance birthday celebration @ LongBeach ECP

Woot another birthday celebration. Right after Joe1's birthday comes Chris's. This time we don't need to think of location, Chris pointed for seafood at Long Beach, East Coast Park. Chris ordered ala carte dishes. Quite a variety.

Baby Squid. Chris said this is his favourite dish! He said must try whenever he goes to seafood restaurant. Very crispy and sweet!

I personally like this vegetables. Like the taste.

This prawn smelled like Garrett's Caramel Popcorn can you believe it? I thought it tasted like kaya prawn. Lol!

We quarreled with the restaurant over this Hor Fan. Actually we meant to order fried noodles, but their Captain recommended us Hor Fan instead. They refused to change to noodles, in the end we were forced to eat the Hor Fan. The Hor Fan was re-heated, thus it tasted very dry. Sucks!

The Manager gave us this honeydew dessert to compensate.

After makan, drinks time! We tried the BeachHut bar. Very nice ambiance attracted us. But to tell you the truth, we felt super hot. Mainly due to no wind at East Coast Park tonight. We were sweating while drinking haha! The live performance was nice to the ears though.

I just applied another Starbucks membership card. Its the special edition card again. Recently keep drinking at Starbucks so might as well get their member. You get a free "tall" size drink when you first register the membership card. And there's a $10 value inside the card, which you can use to buy drinks next time. Joe1 Birthday celebration @ Swensen

Today is Joe1 birthday! We went to Swensen @ ION for dinner. Took quite a while to locate this Swensen as it is only accessible by lift. We had some fried combo dishes and an ice-cream cake. This was our first time ordering a 1kg cake. Look at the size!

After Joe1 made her wishes, we had the cake. The cake was very filling, 2 pieces already cannot go on anymore.

After dinner we go for our recent favourite chill out! This time we tried Acid Bar @ Peranakan Place. Very small indoor but ambiance still ok. I think they were lucky because their live singer was very good! Fantastic live performance. Will go back again if the singer still there. :)

Saturday went to chill out again, but this time got a purpose: Celebration for Joe1 passing her M5 exam haha. We went to 1-Altitude at 1 Raffles Place. 63th storey woot, nice night view of Singapore! Cover charge is $18 SGD NETT, inclusive of one drink. Decent. Just the magnificent night view was worth back the money.

Don't expect to find seats if you never reserve prior coming. The open air roof top Gallery and Bar was packed with people. I guess they all came to have a drink under the stars. When it started to drizzle we went downstairs to have a drink at their bar. But tonight the bar was packed with Indians watching Cricket World Cup 2011 final, India Vs. Sri Lanka. India won the world cup, you should see the cheers and joy of the Indians here.

5 Bottles of beers for $50 SGD. Nachos cost $15 SGD! Expensive! But drink must accompany with fried finger food then shiok!

Wow finally got time to update my blog haha. I'm just back from Kuala Lumpur, went there with few colleagues. This was my 1st time to KL (If not then the last time was when i was very young.) The Royale Bintang hotel 3days 2nights and 5STAR travel coach cost $200/pax.

The coach ride was pretty long, around 5hours. We stopped over at Yong Peng for lunch. I tried their famous fishball noodles. The noodles looked interesting with the black sweet sauce. But i don't like the taste of the noodles.

One thing good about the coach was the movies. I watch "2012" during the long ride to KL. "2012" reminded me about the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Pretty terrible state. This is my hotel Royale Bintang. Located at Bintang walk. Very good, just walking distance to the shopping centers.

I stayed at the 8th floor. From the corridor i could see the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Actually we planned to go up the PETRONAS Twin Towers, but in the end put off the idea. You have to start queuing as early as 6am and only the first 400 people were allowed to enter the tower.

The first meal i had here was A&W! Must try their famous root beer float! It only cost $4+ SGD for this meal. We ordered additional waffle ice-cream :)

On our first day, we walked to Sungei Wang Plaza. This shopping center is a shopping heaven for ladies. 90% of the shops were ladies wear and bags. Nothing much for guys to shop haha. For the first time i tried pedicure there. I'm not the only guy doing pedicure there haha! I go for a scrub to remove the callus. Cost me RM45. Think its worth a one time experience haha.

On the 2nd day we tried our buffet breakfast at our hotel. Quite common hala food.

My friend said their fried egg must try! You can choose which ingredient to add, like Subway? Haha. Egg was nice!

Today we took alot of the train services. There were many train services from different companies, so we need to buy a lot of single trip tickets when transferring from one train to another.

This is the Monorail. Looks like our LRT. Small and fast. Inside the cabin also nothing special. Did you see my camera advertisement in the video? Hehe.

We transfered KTM train to Mid Valley Megamall. Wow this train waiting time was approx 40mins! Really made us wait until the cows come home! They had a screen showing the arrival time, but don't be fool by it. The arrival time keeps changing! Now the screen says arrival time 4.20pm, the next time you look at it, it will jump to 4.30pm. Due to its very slow frequency of the trains, you be sure the train will be very packed. And the best thing was the train inside was very smelly. Like they really needed a good scrub.

They have a middle section only for the ladies commuters. Pretty good for ladies to squeeze without the fear of molesters haha.

Mid Valley Megamall inside got Metrojaya which was similar to Metro, but price cheaper abit. I bought some Hush Puppies socks and a Arena swimming googles. One cafe here worth trying is GARDEN cafe. The decro was very nice! White classic theme! And alot of flowers!

I ordered a Irish ice coffee, not very sweet. Even their stir was a flower.

They have a 2nd level too! Beautiful shot of the stairs.

The rest of the retails here were those retails you can find in Singapore. This must be their Toyasrus! But inside not very big, in fact quite small.

At evening we went to Stadium Putra to watch SJ3 concert. I never watch, i only follow the female colleagues to the stadium. Pretty crowded there. In fact a lot of malay girl fans too.

We went back to fetch the girls after the concert as KL is not the safest place on earth.

Time for supper! Tonight was crowded at Bintang walk! Look at the crowd!

See the pink guy? This kind of "man-statue" was commonly seen at Singapore too.

Now "snake-man" was more interesting. Free to take pictures with snake! Looks like no license one, so didn't take picture haha!

We had supper at Outbreak, BB park. This place is like our Clarke Quay for drinking and chill out.

On our last day we went to Berjaya Times Square. This is a more high class shopping center. Inside was very big, about 2 ION shopping center combined with 7 levels of retails.

Have you seen a theme park inside a shopping center? You can find roller coaster inside Berjaya Times Square! Awesome! Not just a puny roller coaster! I wanna try! But no one dares to try with me. The entry is RM40, which is like less than $20 SGD.

Just before leaving back to Singapore, it rained heavily. I went outside my hotel and capture some last minute shots. Overall i think KL is more suitable if you are a shopping goer. Malacca is more for eating and visiting historic sites.

I like this particular shot very much. Very artistic ^^

My 1st Netbook: Toshiba NB520-1029

Wow i spend money again zzz. I bought my 1st netbook at IT fair suntec. Surprisingly i bought a Toshiba netbook haha. I was aiming for Asus or Vaio, in the end i settled for Toshiba NB520-1029, $499 SGD. Bought for its preloaded MS office and secondly due to its nice looking speakers (later show you picture). Actually i don't bother to look deep into the specs as all netbooks are around the same basic specs for surfing and office work. Weight also all around 1.1kg to 1.4kg. Few hundred grams wont't make much difference too.

This is the Harman Kardon speakers i'm talking about! Beside the touch pad. Looks cool right! I haven't try use it as a speaker for my mp3 player yet! Haha.

Night rollerblading

Haha rollerblading again! Finally! If Joe0 never requested think no one to rollerblade with me. The rest all lost interest in rollerblade already haha. It's hard to keep the fire going to keep playing the same sport.

East coast park is the best place and worst place for rollerblading haha! Best for its scenery, worst cause everytime i came here it would always rain! It always rain in the afternoon at East Coast Park. I think better come here after 4pm next time haha.

Crispy would accompany us here for a jog.

We skated until 9pm, tried stunts at the end of the road. Power slide, acid slide, toe-heel. So long never tried stunts really felt tiring. But it was fun getting on the wheels after so long. :)

1st time chill out @ Secret Garden

Chill out makes the weekend seemed longer and more fun! Even though i agreed that chilling out cost money but really felt shiok wasting the Friday night away. Tonight we went to Serangoon Garden. This was my 1st time to Serangoon Garden, even though Serangoon Garden is very popular. The hawker center was super packed with people, we had a hard time finding seats. The fried hokkien prawn mee was very nice. We also tried fried omelette, satay and their jug of sugarcane. Interesting to see sugarcane in a jug, enough for four for us to share. :)

After we had our fill, we decided to chill out at Secret Garden there. Secret Garden is a KTV pub. We saw the place not very messy and not so crowded so we settled for it. Actually this place was frequent by mostly uncles and aunties. So the hall KTV was all the way oldies songs haha! We managed to sing a few songs too. Too bad they closed pretty early, around 2am. This was my 1st time here, based on this visit alone, i find this place quite nice if you want to avoid rowdy teenagers.

We only ordered one jug of beer. Lucky also, cause they closed early we don't have alot of time to slowly drink.

Just now went to Kallang Bahru market for dinner. Saw these two cats so high up. Can you see them? On top of the white shaft. They went up there themselves. And they were looking at me when i took pictures of them. Hehe.

Manulife Gala Night!

Once in a year Gala Night! Also known as awards and recognition night. This year our Gala night was held at Ritz Carlton hotel. This was my first time dressed in black tie for functions. Black tie meaning a dress code for formal evening events. I had earlier thought that everyone had to wear a black tie! Haha!

Ritz Carlton grand ballroom is really big. Think good place for wedding if you had planning for at least 50 tables haha!

Menu. Looks like a lot of dishes. Each dish was nicely cut and served each a plate. But i would say the food was not as good as i expected from this hotel. Minus marks for the bones in the fish and chicken meat too.

Our napkins and hand claps. Nowadays everywhere use hand claps and whistle, no need to clap until hands swollen.

The first dish finger food tasted ok.

Sotong, soft and tender. Not bad.

Eeek i hate fish served with bones. Many bones. Why cut the fish and left the bones?

Dessert was sweet except for the bits of seeds remained in the red dates.

One memorable moment was when this old man stood on the stage and shared with us his pride and gratification on his job. 86yr old agent from Hong Kong Manulife. Power. This is a life long career for him and it inspired me alot. To achieve my career goals and help people to achieve financial freedom.

GOOD LUCK Raccoon dog

Today i bought a Tanuki, aka GOOD LUCK Raccoon dog, from Daiso. Been thinking of buying it for quite some time, cos it looks very cute. (And hopefully brings me luck too!) I first seen it from Japanese comics like Rama1/2. I also like the Maneki Neko fortune cat. Maybe will get it later. I googled and found some insights of Taunki.

The tanuki has eight special traits that bring good fortune, possibly created to coincide to the "Hachi" symbol (meaning eight) often found on the sake bottles the statues hold.

The eight traits are:
1) a hat to be ready to protect against trouble or bad weather,
2) big eyes to perceive the environment and help make good decisions,
3) a sake bottle that represents virtue,
4) a big tail that provides steadiness and strength until success is achieved,
5) over-sized testicles that symbolize financial luck (Thats new! Never saw them earlier. Awesome!),

Woot just went to Changi Airport T2 for appointment. Long time never went there, since i never went overseas by plane for a long time too! Very quiet at this time, 9pm. Took some pictures since i'm here. Should one day go there explore, especially T3.

Safari Zoo run! Cancelled :S

Finally my most anticipated 1st marathon has come! Safari Zoo run! But i wasn't very high on spirits today mainly because i haven't been exercising or training for this marathon haha. I was saying i am taking this marathon during my slacking period. No gym, swimming nor running for the past one month.

The crowd was there. Mandai road was congested with traffic going to Singapore Zoo. You can guess the huge crowd at the entrance of the zoo when we reached there. We changed into our running gear but alas the sky started to rain. Really what the hell, my 1st marathon in my life and it rained. My 8km marathon was cancelled due to the short downpour. Sucks.

Lucky the event organiser decided to allow everyone to run the 6.2km FUN RUN. So at least we all can participate abit. Due to the drizzle and wet floor, most of the people walked instead of running. They even issued us ice-cream before we started, how to run with an ice-cream?

This was a rare chance to enter Night Safari during the afternoon, most of the animals were locked away. We still see a few of them though.

Actually walking long distance was more tiring than running. After our walk we had dinner at AH MENG KOPI, Singapore Zoo. Just nice, since this run was meant to remember AH MENG. The coffee was very nice!

We went to Night Safari after dinner since we got half price promotion. As we explored on the tram, photo-taking was not possible. Lucky i took some pics during the FUN RUN.

The night show of Night Safari was nice. But the show was exactly the same as the last time i seen.

Overall it has been a fun afternoon and evening even though we didn't managed to run our 8km run. We still got the medal anyway.

Start work day! Officially! After exchanging Chinese New Year greetings and collecting red packets at office, we had our branch lunch. Long Beach seafood at Dempsey. My first time trying Long Beach too haha. I not a seafood enthusiast. Well the food was not bad, take a look.

I don't like the hassle of cracking the shells and trying hard to suck out the crab meat, that's why i seldom eat crab... But this time i ate quite a lot!

CNY day3: River AngBao 2011

Yay Chinese New year day3, i went to River Angbao. Last few years didn't went there. I could remember it was very fun when i was there in my teenage days. Actually River Angbao is the iconic place for Chinese New Year. It was built just for Chinese New Year. Must go!

This year River Angbao was located at the floating platform, Marina. This was also my 1st time stepping my foot on the floating platform. River Angbao was packed, but still accessible to walk.

Half of the attractions was at Uncle Ringo funfair. You see skyrides, bumper cars, lunges, and game stalls. Last time you see Uncle Ringo everywhere whenever there was Pasar Malam. But now only on special occasion.

Skyride. looks like a merry-go-round, but when it spins you hear screams.

Old time favourite bumper cars. I like the signboard with Ferrari! Looks vintage.

I don't remember i got play this before. Use leg power to ride. Xiong!

Overall River Angao was much smaller compared to older times but its still a great place to enjoy the Chinese New Year atmosphere!

Happy rabbit new year! On the first day of Chinese New year my mom would cook dessert for breakfast. Sweet! Ginkgo. Red Dates. Logan. Nice. I only had this once a year. The rest of the day i had the super expensive and common Yu Shen set meal as usual every year. I always wonder why spent few hundreds over a meal at a coffee shop.

Chinese New Year again! This year i can feel more ambiance of Chinese New year compared to previous years. And now i know why was that so. The reason why previous years i wasn't anticipating Chinese New year was because there wasn't anything to look forward to. Ang Baos? Maybe, but not really alot. Visiting relative? Boring. Chinese New year was kinda boring last few years. Then Joe1 influenced me. Chinese New year is the time to buy new clothings! All clothings must be new! Wow. That kind of reminded me that i did not really bother to buy new clothings for my previous Chinese New year.

She said buy, all buy new one, everything must be new! Tops, bottoms, bags, shoes... everything. Aahh this is something interesting haha! Who doesn't like to buy new things? I also want! For the past two weeks, i was busy happily shopping. I bought tees, bermudas, slippers. I almost wanted to buy a new bag, but didn't found one that i like. Chinese New year is the excuse for you to buy new clothings! True!

My reunion dinner was still simple as last year's. One dish one soup.

So nice of John to give me a set of Clinelle facial products complimentary to try. Includes a deep cleansing gel, purifying toner, skin smoothing scrub and a blemish clear. Wow quite a complete set. Actually nowadays i only use a cleansing wash thats all haha. Last time when i was more vain then i got used toner and some serum application.

Anyway i will be trying them soon and feedback to John later on. John said he got lobang if i feel its good and decided to buy to continue to use haha.

Wow Sat = chill out day again! Tonight we went to Brewerksz @ Kallang Leisure Park Jumbo. This place is mainly catered for the soccers fan who came here to drink, relax and watch soccer. No life band no dark cosy seti. Just nice tonight got soccer match for Chris to watch: Manchester United vs Birmingham.

We order pizza, one jug of frozen cocktail and fried calamari. Gosh this was my first time trying a frozen cocktail. My take: frozen tasted like 7eleven slurpee, the usual cocktails are still better.

Wow chill out again! Been chilling out frequently for the past few months. Drinking shiok. Liquor not beer. High class leisure drinking not chiong disco waste time. This time round we tried at Axis bar, Mandarin Oriental hotel. And hey this was also first time Prata joined us for drinking! Haha.

Drinking at hotel always got a standard there. Cosy environment, quiet, live band. Prefect for a slow night chill out. Excellent service from the staffs too. See this picture? They volunteered to take for us! :)

They serve olive! So special. But very salty.

We finished our drinking session at 1am. The night was still early! Since Prata 1st time come drinking, we must make it a memorable night! We went over to take pictures with Marina Bay Sands. Very beautiful scenery under the moon light. That's not all, we even watch at movie, Burlesque at 2.20am! Freaking tired when i finally reached home at 5am!

Weee tonight 1st time went to chill out at New Asia Bar. Its on the 71th storey at Swissotel. New Asia Bar has been around for a long time, but until now then go there. I must say this place is very nice and cosy! The scenery outside the glass windows were totally mesmerising! Full view of the night glory in front of your eyes!

Ambiance inside was good, music not very loud, air-con just nice, cocktails nice to drink. Nice place to chill out.

The Shoppes there aren't fully opened yet. But i saw the boat was already rowing at the man- made river inside.

Wow i just registered for my 1st running marathon in my life! This will be my 1st ever running marathon haha. I never run marathon before, can say that i used to hate running. Running was my weakest exercise few years back. I always failed my running tests back then at my Army days. But no more. Ever since i'm out of Army, i passed my IPPT every year. I overcame running. Running is no longer my weak spot.

Oatmeals with eggs

Yoyo i just tried a new breakfast recipe haha. Look! Oatmeals with hard boiled eggs! Its been a while since i stopped taking eggs in the morning due to boringness. Now i'm back with eggs again! Who knows, i might be back with my healthy chicken breast meals too! Haha.

I cooked the eggs separately, peel them, remove the yolks, and then add into my oatmeals. The taste is awesome! Oatmeals tasted creamy with the egg whites. Chef recommended!

Water Bottles!

Waa i keep buying water bottles zzz. Ladies buy many bags to suit their dressing, i seem to buy many water bottles for different outings! I am currently using 4 water bottles now, if you include those water bottles than i gave away as gifts then i will have bought 7 water bottles already! My latest addition today is a shaker bottle from GNC, $20. I bought it to replaced my purple Naglene water bottle. The Naglene water bottle's cap broke. Hope i don't have to buy any more water bottles!

It is a very happy thing when you bought something that you really like. Today i bought a watch for outdoor and sports purposes: Luminox. I love it! Pitch black. The glow in the dark is awesome! The watch description is also cool shit!

Happy new year!!! Waa yesterday i never celebrate new year eve. Countdown at home lol. This new year i decided to do something different. I went to temple to pray! On the 1st day of the new year! Haha! Actually Joe1 asked me, and so i went. 洛陽大伯公宫 (Loyang Tua Pek Kong). My mom got asked me go there many times but i always too busy (lazy) to follow. Haha.

Today i followed the auspicious time from the newspaper: Step out of the house before 11am. I went down to ATM to deposit $80. My colleague told me that depositing money on the 1st day of new year symbolise that you will constantly have money to deposit this year. I also followed the auspicious time to pray before 3pm. I reach Loyang Tua Pek Kong around 1.38pm haha. For those people who 1st time here like me, you have to follow the numbers sequence accordingly to pray. Pray with your heart and good things will come your way. 心想事成.

Malacca 27 to 29

Woot! I'm just back from Malacca! 3 days 2 night. Tiring but fun. It has been a long time since i went overseas, not mentioning Johor Bahru. The last time i went Malacca was when i was very very young, this time i went on company trip.

The journey to Malacca was fairly long, roughly 4 hours bus ride from Singapore. I slept on the coach along the way, only came down for a short break at Yong Peng. There was no washroom on the coach itself so everything must be settled during the lunch break. Along the way to Malacca on coach, i saw a lot of trees and mountains on both sides of the road. At the start it was interesting to see mountains, but it gets boring after some time.

I had lunch at Ole Sayang restaurant before arriving at my accommodation, Avillion Legacy Melaka Hotel. This hotel looks like a castle on the outside.

The interior also looks very english style, look at its ceiling. Does it look like Rome architecture?

They still display Xmas tree even though Christmas was already over. This was the best Xmas tree i had seen this year. Why? Look closely, this is a real Xmas tree! Yes they used a real tree! Nothing beats the beauty of a real tree.

My room. Got Starmovies channel, whole day playing movies. Got bathtub also. Nothing more to ask for. I had sumptuous meals at the hotel, all buffet style. The food was OK, with fair amount of variety.

On my first day here, i explored Jusco (just nearby my hotel) and the famous Dataran Pahlawan. One thing to note, i took taxi to all the destinations, and the taxi doesn't go by meter, they go by a flat fee requested upfront by the taxi driver. So sometimes the fee was different for travelling the same distance. Jusco is just a big shopping center by itself, there was nothing around its vicinity so it was not worth going all the way there. The shops inside Jusco were very common like Daiso, KFC, Bata, no cinema, nothing special. The next stop we went to Dataran Pahlawan. This place is also a place for shopping for gifts. You can find hometown goodies, clothes, gifts here. Don't expect to find branded stuff here though.

The famous 三叔工 shop is here. Alot of people came here to buy its white coffee and goodies.

One of the must-try foods at Malacca is their Satay Celup. Satay Celup is not the normal satay we had in Singapore. Satay Celup is also call steamboat satay, where an assortment of raw and semi-cooked seafood, meat and vegetables on skewers are dunked into a boiling pot of satay sauce.

The most famous Satay Celup is from Capitol. There were always long queue outside. I tried the quiet stall beside, too lazy to queue. They were so popular that they even put up a signboard to "warn" people of imitation. Haha.

Feel free to take the food you want from the fridge. They cost 6 ringgit each skewer.

Day 2. A friend told me that if you go to Malacca on December, you must visit Portuguese Settlement because there got the best Christmas decoration! Their decoration will last until end of the month. True enough, when i reached there i saw a street filled with glittering lights!

The residents here living in the Terrance houses decorated their houses very beautifully just for Christmas! Look at their houses! Their decoration will put orchid road decoration in shame!

These were all private houses, the owners really spent a lot of efforts dolling up their house.

I got a Santa in my house!!! Wow!

Portuguese Settlement is also a place for people to play with firecrackers. The firecrackers cost as cheap as 1 ringgit.

This is a firecracker that sparks on the ground.

This one shoots up into the sky with a bang. There is another firecracker that shoots multiple times to the sky, but i think it cost a lot.

I ended the night chilling out at a KTV pub by the riverside.

I missed out going to Jonker street. My opinion, Malacca is a quick getaway from the modern city. No branded, no city lights. And a good place to try out their local food too.

Xmas eve @ Studio M 2010

Merry Christmas! How did you guys celebrated your Christmas this year? Haha. This Christmas i celebrated with my friends at Studio M hotel @ nanson road. 1st time tried this hotel, its more of a studio apartment. Location is not easy to locate if you don't frequent Clarke Quay. We took a cab in.

We booked Studio loft room, cater for 5 people, double storey. There was only one master bed and a sofa bed for us all, so we have to squeeze. The bed was obviously dominated by the girls.

Even though it was a fairly small studio apartment, the setti was neatly set up. The long poster behind the bed stands out well.

The TV was our main entertainment, watched it all night! I managed to grab a small portion of the bed, the rest can only sit and watch TV. heh heh.

We had light dinner for Christmas. Pizza, potato chips and wine! The special Christmas cheesy pizza was indeed very cheesy. Full of cheese! Eat one slice already felt very full. Joe1 called it Indian pizza. You can see the always popular Hawaiian pizza finishing on the left.

The top was very narrow, so most of us had to stand to eat! Poor thing.

Wine is a must for celebrations! Our wines was not enough this time round, 3 wines but each person only drank like a few cups haha.

We had our gift exchange award ceremony. We all gotten cups for our gifts except for Chris. He got a special clock from Joe0 which projectiles to the ceiling displaying the time. The picture below shows the time displayed on the ceiling. Pretty cool huh.

One of the reasons we chose here were for its facilities. There's gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Free for guests. We only tried out the gym though. Pretty minimal space and equipments here, lucky not much people uses it.

Before checking out the next day, we had breakfast at TCC! Not much places available for breakfast around our hotel. Overall Studio M is a great place for gathering, but not recommended for too much people due to the limited space inside the room. Oh by the way there's Clarke Quay Arena nearby if you like to get crowded.

Ah Ha! Its my birthday again! That means its tang yuan (汤圆) day too! My birthday = 汤圆, 汤圆 = my birthday! Every year without fail i would have 汤圆 for my birthday. My breakfast would be mom-made 汤圆 instead of my usual oatmeals. Mom would buy the raw flour and prepare the 汤圆 the night before. I like mom's 汤圆 best, small balls without any filling inside. They tasted spongy and chewy. This year she bought some ready made ones from outside to add.

The white ones are mom-made. Pinkies are peanut ready made. White tasted nicer!

Xmas tree @ Plaza Singapura

Christmas Tree at Plaza Singapura was nothing out of the ordinary. Simple traditional Xmas tree standing outside the building. There's another charity Xmas tree made up of paper hearts inside.

The Xmas decoration inside Plaza Singapura were long stripes of "chains" hanging from the roof. And its damn alot! The chains almost covered the entire view of my camera!

If you ask me, i say the trees outside Plaza Singapura were way nicer than the Xmas trees and the building's decoration. The trees with lights looked very romantic at night. Always got many people sitting under the trees chill out.

Cathay Cineleisure Xmas Tree! Today i happened to go there for movie so i got the chance to shoot the Xmas tree. Actually i used to went for weekday movies at Cineleisure, but nowadays always frequent Suntec City for movies. Suntec is cool without the crowd.

They got a cute Xmas tree at the basement inside, not outside Cineleisure building. At least this Xmas tree is something special out of the ordinary.

Hahaha! I passed my IPPT yay! This was my 3rd attempt this year, previously failed running. I always fail my 2.4km running, not that i can't run finish, but i can't meet the passing timing. This is today's results! :)

After IPPT i went to try out Nando's at Bugis. 1st time eat there. There is mostly chicken. When i looked at the menu, i discovered that the price was quite steep. We order chicken set meals with side dishes; salad, galic bread, soup, mash potato and strip chicken breast. Our price for 3 person came up to be a whopping $94! Wowwwwww! Each person more than $30 here. Unbelievable.

Their drink was interesting though...

Raffles City's Christmas Tree was one of the prettiest these recent years. This year Raffles City go for blue theme. Blue Xmas tree, blue decoration along the pathways.

The pathway of Raffles city. Blue lights everywhere just above your heads. And on the streets too.

You can enter into the Xmas tree, which is same as the ION Orchard Xmas tree. Who came up with this idea first? Inside the Xmas tree, pictures of the past Xmas tree were displayed. Last year ION orchard Xmas tree's interior was nicer though, with the star lightning effect.

I also went inside Fairmont Hotel to shoot their Xmas tree. Very normal looking one. The second shot i used flash, to see the details on the tree. Can see the terry bears at the bottom of the tree.

Mom birthday!

Yay mom's birthday! This year she's 52yrs old already. We never really had the tradition of celebrating birthdays, but we will have cake as a simple symbol. Everytime brother will buy the cake. Me just give red packet. Finally this year i took pictures of her birthday. This year she very inpatient, she took out the cake before even 12 mid night. Now is only 11pm and she already took out the cake and cut it haha.

1st time try KOI bubble tea

The most popular bubble tea now must be from KOI cafe. Every time i passed by their outlet, i could see long queue outside. I decided to give it a try to see whats the hoo ha about. Just nice Prata also first time giving it a try. I ordered the most popular bubble milk tea with 100% sugar. You can choose the percentage of sugar if you are health conscious.

The taste was not bad, with a lot of pearls. There were at least 30 pearls judging from my cup. Pearls tasted yummy too. Not bad for a try.

Food tasting at Golden Peony

Waa very full! Really very full! Just went for food tasting dinner at Golden Peony, Conrad Centennial Singapore. Conveniently located just beside Millenia Walk. I like their Christmas tree. Terry bear! It resembles the terry bear Takashimya Christmas tree, but this is nicer. Brown colour always gives me a warm feeling.

First time dine at this place, the hotel looks just like any other prestigious hotels that i went before. But the food was very different, especially their shark fin soup. The serving was as big as a tonic soup! 1st grade shark fin, you should really take a look at this big junk here.

Their dishes are all nicely cut up and serve onto individual plates instead of the traditional big plate on the table. Anyway there's a big bowl of flower decoration in the middle of the table taking up the space haha.

Recently, i love taking pictures of tea. Goodwood Park tea left a good impression on me. Having high tea in the afternoon really makes me feel very relax and free of stress.

The dessert was nice! Mango Sago with watermelon and Pomelo. There was also a yummy roasted chicken which i forgot to take pictures zzz. Overall this was a very nice and sumptuous dinner! :)

Botak Meepok new location

I just revisited Botak Meepok (fishball noodles). Botak Meepok was my long time favourite meepok during the days when i stayed at Aljunied. The stall was located just opposite Aljunied MRT. The stall was not call Botak, i nicknamed it Botak Meepok because the boss is botak haha. His meepok was nice and the serving was plenty. Then one day hes gone. He moved to somewhere else.

Luckily not long after, i was informed of Botak's new location. Its just nearby the previous location but now this new location was quite deep into the small lanes of Geylang. Not really a better location than the former. The place looks like streets food haha. Obviously the crowded eating meepok is not as good as last time.

Woot me just back from my cousin's wedding lunch! My cousin Jason held his wedding at The Regent Singapore Four Seasons Hotel today. Really kind of weird and special feeling when friends around your age get married. Its like suddenly they became really adult and out of the single carefree life already. Good for them though, they really found their Mr/Mrs RIGHT.

Their memorable gift. Couple key chain.

Food is normal, the ambience is the part that makes this event special.

Free flow of red wine. I drank 5 glasses! Not drunk but feel sleepy!

High tea @ Goodwood park

Woot today first visit to Goodwood Park hotel to have high tea haha. Heard of Goodwood park but never once step inside to have a look.

I imagined it to be very posh and class, but really a little disappointed here, it looks normal. I don't really feel the high class ambience even with the live piano performance. Hotel Intercontinental got a better dinning ambience. My friends and i had their English afternoon high tea buffet at L’Espresso inside.

The buffet spread consists of an assortment of dainty sandwiches, salads, savouries, pastries, desserts, chocolate fountain and traditional English scones. Really english style lol. My friend said chinese high tea buffet is better, got laksa, noodles, dim sum...

The high tea buffet comes with 2 free drinks. (No free flow of drinks zzz.) Of cos we had their English tea! That's the main point of having English High tea haha!

The seeds are left on the filter, placed on the cup when filling.

And there's Häagen-Dazs ice cream too!

Overall i think it is really a one time experience to try out haha. Even though it is a buffet, but it is very easy to feel full after having two plates of servings as most of the food are flour made.

Ooooh long time never tasted Häagen-Dazs! The last time i tried its banana split ice cream was like 10years back haha. I remembered Häagen-Dazs ice cream was expensive. And it still is expensive now lol. Today the banana split cost 18 SGD, pricing higher than the other ice cream competitors. I passed the banana split. I tried their single scoop. Their ice cream got a stronger taste especially for the chocolate flavor.

New shoes

I bought a new pair of leather shoes today. Been considering buying for quite some time because the pair i was wearing gave me toe pain. Due to its bulky design and parade standard shiny surface, my colleague called it "policeman's shoes" lol. Before this, i was wearing slim pointed tip leather shoes all along. I bought this policeman shoes because it was cash free from Army. But really i think i had to give it up now. After wearing for just a morning i would experience bad pains on my toes, especially the last little toe. Everytime i wear this shoes i would be thinking of going home, so that my toes can be relief. The soreness would lingers even when i rest my feet at home.

Tired! Me just back from a Duathlon! This evening i went cycling with Kentucky. We cycled to East Coast Park. Then at fort road entrance i parked my bicycle and switched to rollerblade and skated to Lagoon. I had a hard time pacing Kentucky's bicycle. Had to really skate fast to catch up behind him lol. We had supper at Lagoon, i ordered satay again haha. So healthy. The night is still young over here. Lagoon is crowded with people dining, the road is alive with cyclists and skaters. It was really cooling down here under the moonlight. Shiok! I reach home full of sweat and aching on my legs 11.30pm.

I tied my rollerblade onto my bicycle when cycling haha.

My new desktop

I got inspired by Kentucky after looking at his new desktop theme. He made his desktop looks like a Mac's desktop. So i thought i also change my desktop, clear up the mess of the numerous icons and shortcuts on my desktop. I got too many stuffs laying on my desktop, very untidy until cannot see my wallpaper lol. The big MSN already took away half of my desktop.

Voilà! This is my new desktop! I made the theme look similar as my blog; grey and simple yet functional. All my previous icons and stuffs are still on my desktop, but NOW they are neatly organised and categorized! I can find my stuff easily now, recycle bin just look into MY COMPUTER zone, gaming just look at ENTERTAINMENT zone. As for the miscellaneous stuffs, i put them all under the OTHERS zone. Whats more? I can even scroll within the zone! Power right?! No matter how much new stuffs created on my desktop will be well placed into the zones, and will be bounded within the zone. They will not cover my entire desktop anymore.

Watch my demo! First i demo scrolling within the zone (OTHERS zone). Next i show how my desktop looks like when i am using MSN and opening folders. You can see that my MSN is also neatly placed. The video is abit choppy due to the recording software, i do not experience lag when using my laptop.

1st time Windsurfing!

New sport again! Windsurfing with Chris. Our windsurfing basic course started 10am this morning at Water Venture East Coast Park, we had theory and stimulation practise going to the sea. The theory was not really easy for layman like me, especially pertaining to upwind and downwind. Stimulation was kind of add on for the theory.

All these i think doesn't really help me much when i get in the sea for the real play. The trainer was right by saying: it is very good for a beginner if he/she can stand on the surfboard for 30secs! Goodness knows how many times Chris and i fell into the sea. The moment we stand on the board and pull up the rig, we fell into the sea. Up and down, up and down. The whole morning we kept trying but never succeeded to surf at all. I was thinking this sport is damn hard, like even harder than rollerblade! But our luck changed after we had lunch.

Yes we managed to balance ourselves on the board and started surfing! Super shiokkkkk! Ride with the wind! Haha. Slow and steady we surfed until the middle of the sea, like 1km offshore at least. The kind of distance you wouldn't want to even try swimming back to shore. You know what, we only know how to surf forward, we tried turning around to surf back to shore but failed. So we were stuck in the middle of the sea. Pretty scary time to think of sharks. The more we surf, the further we went into the sea. Finally a girl in powerboat came to rescue us to shore haha!

Windsurfing is fun and challenging, will definitely return to conquer the sea again. This time with a sunblock haha.

I like the way the pictures are dark without noise. Noise in photography terms means the picture become blur with small dots. This usually happens when taking night shots.

Its set! Today Chris and me registered for windsurfing course! We went down to Waterventure East Coast to register, $60 for course. After completion can start to rent out to play at East Coast beach.

Finally i am back blogging again after a short break. These few days i was racking my head trying to create a new layout for my blog, but without much inspirations. So i decided to keep it this way for now.

Today i bought a handy storage from Daiso, $2. Actually i also don't know whats is it call, so just call it handy storage haha. I clipped it on the wall just beside my laptop. Inside these pockets, i had my thumb drives, USB PC connect cables and earpiece. U may have guessed by now, the reason why i did this is for easy accessibility. Now all these devices that i frequently use are conveniently and neatly kept just fingers away from my laptop. I don't have to get up from my cosy seat and dig the drawers for a thumb drive anymore. I can just stretch my hands a little and take it out without even looking for it. Haha!

I am very lazy right?! But they say lazy people are people who often uses their brains to think of ways to make their life more comfortable! That's real! Haha.

For display i purposely left the wires hanging out. In actual ,they are kept nicely inside the pockets.

My 1st camera! SONY WX5

I bought my camera already, my final choice is still my initial choice: SONY WX5. I bought it for $500 at Cathay Photo Shop. Reason why i chose SONY WX5 over Lumix and Canon was because of SONY's Sweep Panorama and Full HD 1080i video. Lumix was over my budget while Canon doesn't have Sweep Panorama and Full HD video. So i sort of compromised image quality for these two factors haha. If you ask me, i would recommend the Lumix for image quality especially for low light shots.

Testing out my camera! I haven't master using the correct mode for shooting. But to try out heres a few pictures. :)

Sweep Panorama. This enables taking a very long landscape.

Background defocus. This is good for focusing on the object and blur the background to make the object stands out.

Macro. Taking on very close object. Not really one of my favourite functions haha.

And Full HD video. To view full HD, you need to click on the icon below near the time bar and put to 1080p.

Chen Zhen! 陳真

Boring man, Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen. I find the story and fighting not very exciting haha. First it was too exaggerated as if Chen Zhen got superpower can leap and air kick so far away. Then his fighting style was so different; starting when he fight got no Bruce Lee's shouting, why at the end got Bruce Lee's shouting? The most important thing is that if you had never read Chen Zhen's story before you might wonder why he went to fight at the Japanese martial art school. Actually Chen Zhen went there to revenge his teacher's death. His teacher was Huo Yuanjia (霍元甲), founder of Chin Woo Athletic Association. In the movie they never say this part, also where's the signboard with Sick Men of Asia (东亚病夫)? Wanna see Donnie Yen's Chen Zhen fighting last time? I think it is 100% better with 100% more effort put in.

Mooncake festival celebration

Wow very nice leh the pictures! I'm looking at the pictures that i just took at my Mooncake festival celebration. I forgot why so many years i never celebrate Mooncake festival. This year Crispy celebrated with me. We planned to go Chinese Garden and Clark Quay celebrate, but due to the rain we decided to settle for our market place. Even though its a market place, there were a lot of residents here playing lanterns celebrating too. :)

Look at this tree hanging with lanterns. Isn't it beautiful? :D

One of them was this pretty girl face or cat face lantern. Nice right?!

We also got bring our own lanterns. Actually Crispy brought a lot, she gave one to me hehe. I chose the orange one. :) Not to forget mooncake! Also generously sponsored by Crispy hehe.

We also brought candles! Mooncake festival must play with candles and fireworks then fun! We made a "moon" from the candles. Can you figure it before it burns out? After the candles melted also looks very nice.

After making a moon, we made today's date. The significance of this special day. Can see 220910? Before lighted harder to figure.

5th Bank account! Xtrasaver

I just opened my 5th bank account recently haha. This time is Standard Chartered Bank XtraSaver. This account is good because you can start up without any min deposit, that means $0. Some good features:

Still remember why i opened so many different bank accounts instead of putting all my $ into one bank? I don't know if you still remember my previous post. Let's recap:

Pros?
- Get Cash easily at the nearest ATM. Having accounts with all the banks means i do not have to hunt high and low for specific bank.

- Bank in money or your salary cheque to a bank that is conveniently located nearby to you.

- Enjoy the shopping/dining/clubs privileges tied up with the different banks. Take note of the annual fee of the debit/credit cards though. Some cards are free.

- Don't worry about the bank annual interest, its negligible. All the banks offer 0.1% to 0.125% interest, it doesn't matter which bank you put, you will get roughly the same interest (few dollars per year.)

- Having spread out my money, they all seems very small amount. This makes me think that i do not have a lot of money to spend hehe.

- Reversible. If you regret, you can always terminate the secondary accounts and get back your money. So whats the worry?

We had our trainers from Water Venture teaching us how to paddle and putting on the buoyancy vest.

Too bad no pictures of us rowing. Hehe. But here's our team photo. It was really a fun experience. :)

1st time fencing

Yessh the day has arrived! Today is Fencing day! Organised by Nee Soon East Community Center again, the same lobang for Leisure Dragon boating, partner with Absolute Fencing. Chris joined me today. We both just wanted to try out fencing for the experience, once and for all. :)

We got the chance to put on the Fencing gear: protective helmet, protective training vest, glove and the weapon. We learn the basic movement and attacking/defending. The main attack that we learnt was the "launch" attack. (See picture below.) Its a simple forward strike aiming at opponent chest.

Defending is basically using our weapon to parry away the opponent's attack. I got the chance to PK Chris using their computerised sensor system. Now then i know sensor can be installed on the Fencing weapon, when you hit the opponent, the system will ring. Gosh Chris was really on the ball, he won me 3-0. It was really exhausting if you keep on attacking, and the weapon was kind of heavy after holding it for some time.

Overall one time experience was good enough. Think Fencing was not really our passion. Its a good chance trying out. :)

One day of driving

My friend went overseas and lend me his car today! Wow its been a long long time i drove a car since i got my license. The last time i drive was grandpa's lorry. I was excited when i was handed over the car lol. Quickly i called up my kakis to go for a ride! Crispy and Joe1 hopped on my ride! Crispy was my GPS today! She bought her street directory and guided me on the way. Luckily got her, if not my driving will be headless. We went many places today, mostly for quick bites. First to Toa Payoh, then to Balestier eat 豆沙煎軟餅, then Novena eat Aijisen Ramen, then to Dover, and picked up Joe1's rollerblade at East Coast Park and finally back my friend's house. By the time it was already 11pm, i already drove for roughly 11hours on and off today! Wow freaking tired! Eyes tired, mild headache, neck suan. Think i will not drive for a long time. I now thinking taxi driver is not an easy job, driving long hours daily.

Skippy free water bottle

Yum yum my liking for Skippy peanut butter is back fully. During the period when i was sick i actually find Skippy tasted boring. I eat very little bread then and since lost 2kg. Now back to everyday eat Skippy again. :) By the way today Skippy giving away free Skippy's water bottle for a purchase of 500ml Skippy at NTUC Fairprice. Cool. But the water bottle is for kids though zzz.

My new bag! Adidas!

Today i got myself a new bag, decided to let my NIKE bag retire already. Its stitches keep coming out, i already sew it a few times. Due to my rough handiwork, the stitches can be seen. High time to get a new bag, looks more presentable for work haha.

I found this Adidas at OG chinatown. I find the looks resembling my NIKE bag, dull colour, simple design, able to contain quite a fair amount of stuff. (I put alot of stuff inside my bag, even bananas hehe) Most importantly, cheap $37 only. I bought it on the spot without much hesitation. When i explore the bag at home then i realise the bag is abit bigger than i thought haha.

JJ 林俊杰 new body!

Lol now JJ (林俊杰) very busy, need to focus on his singing and now also need to train. He just show off his body of his hardwork secret training at his recent concert. 6 packs yea. But still not very impressive haha. One of my friend say his lower abdominal still fat. True. On this picture below, it seems that his pose is unnatural like he purposely pushes his chest forwards to make them look bulging. Or maybe its just purposely for pose.

I seen a familiar pose before, from Byung-hunLee (李秉宪). Same pose, same body colour too haha. But his is a more natural standing pose. Even the head also tit slightly to one side. No need to say, Byung-hunLee's 6 pack is awesome.

Wow it is really hard to decide which camera to buy. I have been reading reviews online and asking around retail shops for recommendation but still not set my mind on one yet. Right now i narrowed down my range to a $300+ digital camera instead of a SLR. This is because i think it would not be possible for me to carry a SLR in my bag everyday, so bulky and heavy. I need a camera in my bag wherever i go, it is a substitute for my Nokia N73.

Currently i looking for a digital camera with these specs:
- Price lesser than 400 SGD,
- Prefer to have HD video,
- Prefer to have bluetooth,
- Prefer to use alkaline batteries,
- Prefer to have wide angle lens,
- Prefer to have the LCD screen can pull out one,
- Must have Macro shooting.

If you have a camera that matches, please recommend to me. :D

A trip to JB!

Today i went to JB (Johor Bahru) with my cousin and Crispy, it has been 5yrs since i last went there haha! Time to look around to see if there's any major changes at JB. We took the Singapore-Johor Bahru bus at Queen Street, Bugis. Bus fare still kept at $2.40 SGD. Took us around 35mins to reach Woodlands custom. Even though today is off peak day, there was still a long queue to JB's custom. This is why i dislike going to JB.

Now with the new JB custom, there is a link way directly to City Square. With the police station around the link way, it is consider very safe going to City Square.

The first shop we saw after we entered City Square was this toy shop. So i took a picture of it. :) Take note that all the washrooms requires RM 20 sen, its not free!

This telephone booth still working!

We had lunch at Robin's portuguese chicken. It cost RM 10.90 for my half chicken set. Not say very cheap. Chicken tasted normal, meat not very much. I still feel hungry after the meal.

The main attraction of City Square is to shop for their clothes and DVDs. The shops are placed very near to each other, so it looks like Heeren.

Why does this Japanese restaurant displays a big picture of Pikachu?

We walked around until 5pm and took the bus home. Lucky there's a lot of buses to cater the crowd. I feel that there's not much changes at City Square compare to 5yrs ago. Movie is more expensive now: RM 9.00. I remember last time used to be like RM 6.00. Haha.

Bye Bye i phone 4

Muhahaha! I sold away my i phone 4! Lol! Only 2 days after buying sell away already haha! My phone is not spoilt, the reason why i sell it off is because i simply don't like the function of the phone. My phone firmware is the latest version that cannot be jailbreak at this moment, so i'm only able to use it with its default functions unless i pay to download from Apple store. Sucks. I do agree that surfing was fun with i phone 4, but i would rather buy a Netbook to surf instead. Haha.

I particularly hate some of these functions missing/ problems from i phone 4:
- No dictionary,
- Unable to transfer mp3 to i phone 4 and set as ringtone! (Converting mp3 to M4r was a chore!)
- Messages will kept as in a log unless i clear them off,
- I always press the wrong keys when typing in portrait mode.

Be it the phone's fault or i'm not used to i phone, i decided to sell it. Especially i got an hearing from Joe0 saying how bad was i phone compare to Galaxy S. Thanks to my cousin Kentucky, i found a buyer online and sold it off! I earn a profit of $660 from the deal. Cool! So now i'm back using my Nokia N73. And i'm more happy with it. :)

I deposited the solid hard cash right after the deal! Shiok right? Money inside bank full full.

Cycling trail #13

Aha! Cycling trail is back! Tonight took Blackie, my rusty bike, for night cycling with Crispy. A short trip to East Coast Park. When we set off from Kallang, the sky was already dim, shiok. No need to bathe under the hot sun. I took the chance to try out my iphone4 camera night shots too. Not impressive, but at least still can see at night. We cycled until Mac donalds and then return home. I wonder what's the Bluetooh function on iphone for? I can't use it to send pictures to my computer anyway. I also can't send pictures from my computer to iphone. Bluetooth function for fun?

But if the surrounding not much lightning, iphone4 camera also not much use.

Woot finally i blog again. After i came back from army reservist i was down with illness, until now still recovering from it. Today i bought a new handphone, been quite a while since my last phone Nokia N73. Think got 3 to 4 years never change phone already. Guess whats my new phone? Actually very easy to guess, now this era 90% of the generation are using Apple i phone. Yes i phone 4, my newly bought phone.

I haven't fully explore my phone, here's some of my first touch quick reviews:
- Camera pictures quality very normal, easily blur due to hand shake, cannot zoom!
- HD video quality not really HD at all haha,
- Front camera quite good, can see clearly.

Will play with the camera real soon. Wait for my pictures! See if better than Nokia N73.

I read from the newspaper's report on a high percentage of the public do not know how to use the AED, or even know its existence in our shopping centers. AED (Automated external defibrillator), its a portable electronic device that is design be simple to use for the layman, to resuscitate when a victim suffers from a sudden cardiac arrest.

Actually i am one of them who does not even what is an AED haha. If i never read the papers i will still don't know that its already in our shopping centers. Well at least i google and now i know roughly how to use it! Haha. You never know one day you may need to use it to save someone's life! I read up a few articles, so i'm certain more or less its the same procedure. Let this video guide you.

National Day 2010 fireworks

Anyone saw the fireworks just now? Or went to the National Day Parade? I managed to catch a glimpse of the fireworks along the link from Marina Square to Suntec City, 8.18pm. Haha. So lucky the timing. The fireworks was beautiful and loud, especially at the last burst. There's only two major fireworks in a year: New year's eve and National Day. This year i managed to see both haha.

Time to get back to camp. Zzz.

Anyone wanna try out fencing? Just $12 for a one time trial haha. I just received an invitation from Nee Soon East CC Youth Club for the trial.

Fencing has an advantage over other sports, as fencing is not physically selective and anyone can fence. Fencing can be likened to an activity unite of both combat and ballet. Fencing is also often described as “the physical game of chess” as the sport requires both physical and mental skills. People who like to fence also develop themselves to make their own decisions rather than having decisions made for them.

Age Group: 13 & above
Registration Fee: $12
Attire: Sport attire with sport shoes.

Participants will :
+ Gain knowledge of the history of fencing
+ Learn real and essential fencing skills
+ Do actual fencing with suits, scoring equipment, and weapons
+ Learn how to handle weapons and play the sport safely
+ Improve hand-eye and movement coordination for sports

10 Eggs a day!

Recently i am obsessed with eggs. Every morning i will have 3 eggs for breakfast, only the egg whites. Egg whites are high in protein and contain negligible amount of fat, hence the egg white is one of the purest and richest sources of protein. And best of all, the egg white has zero cholesterol. The cholesterol is found in the yolk, which i threw away. I only eat hard boiled eggs, i don't eat raw nor half-boiled eggs. Raw eggs give better quality protein is just a myth. Raw eggs give you chances of diarrhea is more likely haha.

When i started eating 3 eggs for breakfast everyday, my mom would say i am crazy. Even friends also say its incredible. But if you tried it, actually eggs aren't so hard to swallow. Haha. Later i used to 3 eggs in the morning, and my mom also used to it and doesn't nag anymore. Now i began to add some more eggs for lunch or evening meals. Sometimes 2 or 3 eggs into my lunch or dinner, hard boiled. Even for take home noodles i also add eggs. (I boiled the eggs myself). Haha. My record was total 10 eggs in a day. Now my mom starts to nag again. Never mind soon she will used to it. :)

Food to bring in reservist

Finally the day is about to arrive! Reservist! One of the things i dislike is the lack of food variety inside. There's no supermarkets or foodcourts for me to choose for my meals. I'll have to eat whatever the cookhouse cooks, and that sucks! I won't be able to get enough chicken breast or vegetables like i am getting now. There's of cos the canteens that sell tasty outside food like nasi lemak, chicken cutlet rice, nasi pandang... But but but i'm suppose to stay away from fatty food! I still want to get my 6 packs by end of this year (A goal i set to myself). The last thing i want is to get a big tummy at the end of my reservist! A memorable quote: I took a super long way to slim down. No turning back!

I have come up with a small list of food, mostly non-perishable, to bring in. Tuna, Sardine, Baked Beans, Milk powder, Oatmeals and Peanut Butter. At least i can get to eat some decent food while inside. I will miss my eggs.
