Today is a bad raining day, but it doesn't stop me from cycling. I got a new partner today, my cousin Kentucky. Miss K almost wanted to join us, but she backed out due to not feeling well. Where's my destination today? Bedok Reservoir Park! Its been ages since i last stepped my foot there.
Braving through the drizzle, we cycled from our home base to our starting point, Siglap Park Connector. Its basically just behind Kembagan MRT. Theres a map to reference the way to Bedok Reservoir. For your info, it was still raining when i took this picture. Rain drops did not stop us, mud pools did not stop us. Our faces were wet, our shirts were drenched, our shorts were stained with mud, but nothing could stop us from reaching our destination!
Following the Siglap Park trail, we cycled all the way straight until we reached an overhead bridge. This is the point we need to dismount and push our bicycles across the bridge.
Once across, the trail centers from a quiet and noisy environment. On our left is quiet neighbourhood park where joggers run, on our right is Pan Island Expressway packed with noisy motorcars. The trail is idiot proof, just follow only. Soon enough, we reached Bedok Reservoir Park! Yay! Today we started quite late, so when we reached, its already sunset.
I must say i'm quite disappointed coming here. At Bedok Reservoir Park, no doubt the tranquil scenery was enchanting. But you will be utterly disappointed by the trail over here filled with rocks. Yes, the trail seems to be meant for joggers, cos its not comfortable for cyclists to cycle on this rocky trail. In fact, we seldom see any cyclist other than us lol.
Is this a jetti? No entry for bicycles. I never see anyone fishing too.
This is one of the reason why we came here. Treetop adventure! Guess what, no one was playing! Thats of cos, its a rainy day!
Kentucky taking a close up of cat's asshole.
We cycled one round the reservoir and proceeded for our dinner at the famous Blk 85 Bedok Hawker Center. Then after we cycled back home via the main road. The up slope from Bedok to Kembagan is a killer. I bet the pedestrians could hear our grunting as we passed by.
At home base, we washed our muddy bicycles before returning home. (Thanks to Miss K for her water ^^)
I recommend another alternative way if you are familiar with Eunos. Eunos MRT > Eunos Technolink > Kaki Bukit Prison > Bedok Reservoir Park. |
