How to rotate video. Virtualdub
Today i would like to share with you guys how to rotate a video. Have you ever tried using your handphone and take a portrait video, but when you upload to computer you realised the video became inverted landscape view? Take my example below:
Not cool right?! Using a simple program will solve this problem, simply by rotating it. I use VirtualDub. Virtualdub is a free and easy to use program that you can use to edit your videos. After you have downloaded and installed, drag the video into Virtualdub.
You will see 2 screenshots of the same video. The left represents the original video. The right represents the preview of how the edited video would look like. Right now i haven't do anything, so the left and right are still the same. (Notice the video is still inverted landscape.)
I would go straight into how to rotate the video. Feel free to explore the rest of the editing functions.
Press "Ctrl + F", a "filters" screen pops up. Click "add" on the right column. Scroll down and click "rotate". Then choose the angle you want to rotate. (In this case is 90degree right)
After you have done that, you can see that the preview on the right has changed. Now the video is portrait mode again! So save the video and enjoy! Easy right?! :D
