| Zam buk. How to open correctly. |
Zam Buk is my good friend, especially since i'm prone to bruises and unidentified insect bites. One zam buk can easily last for decades... Haha. It can also be use for sprains, cuts, itch, rashes, sores and aching feet. Its like a magic all in one cream. Available at big supermarkets.
If you never use your zam buk for quite some time, you will realise when you want to use it again, it is very hard to open! (Probably zam buk is not happy with you for neglecting it hehe.) Try all your might squeezing and twisting, i bet you wont be able to open it. You can even try prying with a fruit knife, wont open.
Don't fret yet. I got a simple solution here. If your zam buk is shut tight like a annoying oyster, follow these steps;
Hold your zam buk some height from the floor, (not more than 1 meter). Hold it vertical position, refer to picture.
Now, gently let zam buk drop onto the floor. I said "drop", not "throw"! You should hear a soft "clang" sound. :) That is zam buk awakening from its long sleep. Now zam buk is ready to open. The correct way to open (in case you have already forgotten), is to open straight up. Turning is wrong. It is easy to open without a sweat now rite? Rub well.

wow, I never thought of this. I bought a Zambuk tin on Friday and I still have not managed to open it. I usually throw my stapler on the floor when it gets stuck....

Oh My God!!! I had this tin of Zambuk since prehistoric times and I had used knives, pliers, nails -- all to no avail. I just tried your method but had to drop it at my shoulders' height and for like 6 times, and finally pry it opened! thank you. Zambuk should employ you to be their packaging designer. Please use a tube and not a tin!!! thanx!!

u just upen this scumbag packaging, easier way will be put it vertically on a floor, and push it with your hand, and gate of heaven will open up just for you only

Finally got it open. Thank you very much for the great tip. It only took 5 drops but after the 3rd drop I could already smell the stuff so I knew it was getting close... :-)
Having grown up as a very rough little boy I was practically addicted to Zam-Buk to nurse all my cuts & bruises.
I am now in my forties and live in England. About 6 years ago on a trip back home I bought me a tin of Zam-Buk. I have tried many times over the years but could never get it open so the tin just went back into the kitchen drawer each time.
Today I was trimming a hedge and got a few light scratches. Nothing serious but purely by coincidence I found the tin of Zam-Buk again so I thought I would give it another try. But no luck. So I googled "How to open Zam-Buk" and your site was the very first link.
So very well done for your public service and thanks again for this wonderful tip.
