Cycling trail #8
I am so bored, nothing to do~ X_X
After arising up from my afternoon nap, i decided to go for cycling exploration again. This time my destination is Boon Keng MRT, thats where i get my facial products. If i can find my way there, then next time can save the MRT transport fee. I went by remembrance, i did not check on street directory for directions haha.
Once i cycled pass Shine School, i came across the Kallang Bahru river. Compared to 10yrs ago, this was once a very dark and creepy area. Now at least it looks more clean, and pleasant thanks to the flowers.
I cycled straight through out, passed the Kallang Bahru NTUC (This NTUC is at least 20yrs old!), also passed Kolam Ayer Community Center. I stopped by to enquire if there's a gym inside the community center. Too bad, nope. So i continued forward until i reached a junction and felt for once that i'm lost...
Whampo river?
Since i already came this far, i decided to move on forward through this unfamiliar ground. Who knows, when i came to the end of this stretch, i saw the light shining on my face!
Boon Keng MRT station. I have reached my destination haha. It was 50% remembrance and 50% luck. Didn't expect to find it so fast, less than 30mins. So next time when i need to buy my facial products i can just cycle there. Its much faster travel by MRT, save time save $$$. Stay tune for my next cycling exploration, Bugis!
I must confess and ashamed that i did not really knew what's a "moonwalk" until recently haha. Yes its the famous Michael Jackson's moonwalk i'm talking about, and i never seen it before, really. (I aren't a fan of MJ, so that explains)
Well, i went to youtube to check out on his videos since i never seen before, and i must say WOW i'm very impressed with his moonwalk. Totally cool! Lets focus on moonwalk now and not his "stories".
Just yesterday i proclaimed to everyone that i had enough of bicycle, no cycling for one week. Then this evening i took my bicycle out again lol. I decided to test my bicycle on rough terrain. Take a look:
Freaking bumpy dirt road. I took this road to avoid the crowd on the pedestrian pavement. Man this dirt road is really full of humps and bumps. Just imagine how i felt with all the ups and downs without a suspension. I cycled beneath MRT all the way to eunos. My bicycle survived! Went for gym and cycle back home. Who says bicycle without suspension cannot ride rough. Can, but need skill.
Yesterday i bought a bicycle. My 1st time buying bicycle. Bought together with my cousin, Kentucky. I choose a cheap normal mountain bike, in case one day got stolen wont be too sad haha. I was looking for a very simple plain black bicycle, but all the bicycles got stickers. Nvm, i took off the stickers, now its really plain and black. In fact, too plain due to the glossy black finish.
This morning my dad said my bicycle's inner tyre spoilt, and its flat. I didn't do a thoroughly check yesterday zzz. Lucky my dad saw it, he helped me to brought it back to the bicycle shop and fixed it, for free! Now its good to go. With my dad, bikey god, around to maintain my bicycle, i got no worries.

Two days ago my shop closed. Today is my last day of work. Packing and tidying the stocks at my boss house. Tomorrow is a new start of my next career. No more working on weekends, finally. (I never had regular weekends off for many many years!) But life ahead is not a bed of roses. Other than no more basic salary, I have to attend a 8 days course 9am to 6pm weekdays until 27th July zzz. After the course i still need to take exam. Once i passed my exam my life will be more relax. But still there are more courses to be taken zzz. At least 3 more courses must take next time. Its a long long journey...
Some asked me why i do not choose a salaried job as it is more stable with at least a basic income. But i think if i want to do sales, all the potential high paid sales jobs got no basic salary. Property agent, car sales, insurance, interior designer all got no basic salary, but they have the potential to fetch a much higher income than normal salaried sales job. That's one point. Another crucial point is that i am still single at the moment, i don't have any family liability. If i am married already, i don't think i can start doing this now. My brother is working now, he can provide income to my parents. The timing is right, i am free to go all out.
Even if i failed, at least i have tried. That day then i'll browse newspaper for a normal salaried job.
Tonight i took my china colleague, 钱, to take some night shots, searching for enchanting night places of singapore! Don't get excited yet, cos hes the one taking the pics, i don't have any pics to show haha.
The story starts from walking over to Singapore Flyer @ marina to take pics. My N73 cannot do well for night, so i only look see look see. This is the only picture i took.
Singapore Flyer's unit.
It cost $29.50 SGD for an adult to take a tour on the Singapore Flyer. Pretty expensive, but think worth a try for 1st timer. Next time then i try haha. Inside the building, other than the Flyer, there are other shops. Mostly food restaurants and shop selling memento, only 2 levels though. But theres a mini rain forest in the middle, just below the Flyer, reminds me of the rain forest trail @ Night Safari Zoo.
Heres a video of the Singapore Video i took.
After that our photo taking session includes walking to durian esplanade. merlion, fullerton hotel, anderson bridge, clarke quay. At 11pm we ended our road march and took mrt home. When i got the pics from 钱 then post over here.
Today is handing over keys for my kaki bukit showroom, after which most probably i wont be visiting this place for the near future. After 2 years working at this place, finally it has come to an end. Too bad, but no choice since the business here is damn terrible. Throughout the 2 years, so many shops in our same building rised and closed. There is no crowd, no business to mention at all. Other than the location is not very popular, i think the building management also got a part to blame. Initially parking is free within the building, people can park their car and feel free to browse the shops. Then soon after, parking needs $$$, per entry parking. If people want to browse, they have to pay to enter if they drive in. Later on, the building management even came up with "red boxes" to restrict people from parking freely within the building. Location already not popular still set up so many rules. Some more the building management doesn't even advertise to attract people to come. The last straw was they even raise up the rent. Lol. I can say no tenants will stay there for long. If you are familiar with kaki bukit area, you can guess which buildings i'm saying.
Anyway i took back a console as a souvenir from my boss. Wanted to use this teak wood console for my laptop, but find it too big. So use it for stuffing misc things.
