How to make KFC cheese fries yourself!
Greetings! Today i gonna share with you how to d.i.y KFC's cheese fries! Actually this method was shared by my colleague. He told me it is a very very easy and cheap method. Just order KFC normal fries, then order a 50cent cheese from KFC and get mayonnaise from them free of charge. Then just mix up the cheese and mayonnaise with the fries! Wow like very simple and cheap deal right?! Normally if i upgrade normal fries to cheese fries, i need to top up $1.70, now only top additional 50cent. And my colleague guaranteed that the taste will be totally the same! So i convinced Prata to tried it out together! ^^

That was the biggest lie... There is no such thing as 50cent cheese at KFC, nor free mayonnaise! We paid $1 for cheese and $1 for mayonnaise. Actually shouldn't mayonnaise be free? But KFC gave a generous amount for the $1. They gave the size of a whip potato cup. Well we also mixed a generous amount to our fries. The taste was 99% similar to the authentic cheese fries, only short of the onions. But it is still a good try. We still managed to save $1.40. (2 sets of cheese fries cost additional $3.40. We only paid $2 for cheese and mayonnaise. The serving can mix with 4 normal fries.)

    $6 $8 movie tickets (Singapore)
Recent visit to Eng Wah cinema discovered that they also have discounts for movie tickets too. $7 for weekdays and $8 for weekends. Very good! Another movie theater that gives tickets promotion. After all Cathay and Golden Village are giving $8 movie weekend tickets, why should we choose another movie theater if that theater is charging $10 movie tickets on weekends?

At the moment now, $6 weekday tickets and $8 weekends tickets are the cheapest that you can find for a single ticket purchase. A quick summary of the $6 $8 movie tickets our theaters are offering now. Ranking not by order of appearance.

$6 weekday tickets (normal days Mon to Thurs, Before 5pm Fri, exclude public holidays, eve of public holidays, 3D movies, internet booking)

Photobucket Payment by NETS, UOB DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS
Photobucket Payment by UOB DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS (purchase 2 tickets)

$8 weekend tickets (5pm Fri, Sat, Sun, Holidays(eve)... exclude 3D movies, internet booking)

Photobucket Payment by NETS, UOB DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS
Photobucket Payment by NETS, OCBC DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS

Pretty confusing and a lot to remember right? Which cinema which cards to use? Haha. I would choose to remember the cinema that i like and take note of the cards that entitle the discounts. Those movie theaters that are not listed here, hope they come up with good promotion soon!

    Happy day!
Today is a happy day for me, thought of sharing with you guys. :) One of my client appreciates my service attitude and, on top of praising me, he treated me dim sum at Paragon. I felt happy not because of the dinner, but because someone find my service good. Actually i never do anything superb, just being polite, honest, sincere and thankful. Think i must keep up this good attitude and hopefully more people will appreciate and benefit from my service.

i buy Doraemon pig lucky charm
I bought the Doraemon pig lucky charm for myself today haha. The instance i saw it at Mac donalds, i got the gut feeling to bring it back home. Don't ask me why, its just the spur of the moment. I didn't buy any of the rest of the Doraemon collection, just this piggy. $2 only, what's there to hesitate? Anyway the proceeds go to Mac Donalds Children Charity, i am a good man right! You can just buy it without purchasing any meals. Cute or not?!!! The pig nose is on top of Doraemon's head.

    SMRT Circle Line!
Come come, first hand review for SMRT Circle Line! Official opening today! I took the Circle line from Bishan MRT. Let's see what is the time from Bishan to Paya Lebar. See if it is faster to go by Circle line or the old Northsouth- Eastwest line.

Bishan MRT Circle line. Time: 10.25pm. No crowd at all. Look empty like Dhoby Ghaut's Purple NorthEast line.

    Photobucket

This is the inside of a brand new train. :) Any difference? Body still shiny shiny, can see reflection. No advertisements yet. Time display is working fine. The tail of the train got glass panel to let you view the underground tracks.

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

Time: 10.40pm. Reached Paya Lebar MRT. Woot! From Bishan to Paya Lebar only took 15mins! Total 6 stations, 15mins. It is way faster than the old Northsouth- Eastwest line. The whole journey is underground. Strongly recommend to take Circle line if you are looking for less crowded trains and bypass City Hall. As for Paya Lebar Circle line to Kallang MRT, its another 10mins, due to the walking distance from Circle line to EastWest line.

Chris singing performance at The Barnyard Chinatown.
Tonight was Chris's singing performance at Echo Music School Chinatown, Crispy and i went there specially to support him. Friends must support each other! :) First time watch him sing live too, with live band.

    Photobucket

The singing session was held at The Barnyard Cafe just below Echo Music School. Very small, nice and cosy ambience. Most of the people here tonight were here for the music performance. Entry fee only $6, and that includes a side dish + drink. Cool!

The singing session was only a short 90mins, students from Echo Music take turns to go on stage to perform. It's part of their singing lesson to perform on stage. Chris's rendition tonight was Chen Wei Lian's I Love You, smooth sailing. As i was recording his whole rendition with Crispy's camera, so i didn't take his picture. Let's wait for Crispy to upload the video then we can enjoy.

Wild Wild Wet! Advance birthday celebration
Weee! First time go to Wild Wild Wet! This outing was meant for advance birthday celebration for joe1 and Chris. Isn't it cool? Different from those normal restaurant eat-all-you-can buffet celebration?! Haha. I am exhilarated just by the thought of going there; blue sky, big sun, and water! But alas, it was drizzling, dark sky, no sun when we reached there haha. Luckily we were meant to be wet, so the small rain was no spoil to our high spirits. (especially me :P)

I was fascinated by the slides, you know those slides you always played at your playground when you were a small kid? Look at all these slides, playground in water! Cool! Of cos i tried all the slides, not one to be left out! Don't be shy to queue for the slides with the small kids around. But let them have the priority to slide first. :)

    Professor's playground

    Photobucket

Too bad my handphone was put in locker. I can't use it to take more pics, so i'm gonna show you some fun spots, using pics from other sources.

Tsunami. This was fun as we float in the water with man made waves. I heard that when the trumpet horns, the waves will come.

    Photobucket

Ular-ulah The waterworks. This is an upgrade of the professor's playground slides. The more thrilling one was the slide which is an enclosed tube. It was total pitch dark as you slide down. Can't even see your own fingers! There are 3 slides, so you have to climb up the flight of stairs 3 times. The highest slide on the top was not as thrilling as i expected. But you get to sit together in a float.

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

Slide up. This is like a pirate ship concept. Sit facing the sky, its more heart throbbing as you slide down on your back. One of the fun thing is you need to carry the float climb the stairs to the top.

    Photobucket

Sky rider. This may seemed boring bicycle ride. But when i cycle on the track itself, i can feel the high ground pressure. As if any moment i'm going to fall down, or the bicycle is going to drop.

    Photobucket

    Photobucket

Lastly, be sure to relax at the jacuzzi behind the Tsunami. Theres a mini waterfall and water sprinkle to massage your back. Oops i can only find this small picture. We ended our celebration with a good sushi meal and KTV.

    Chicken breast with capsicum
Guys, i'm back with new recipe for chicken breast meal! Do you remember my recent introduction of capsicum? Well, bingo! Let me introduce you to my new dish: Chicken Breast with Capsicum!

    Today's ingredients:
    1) Chicken breast
    2) Capsicum (buy from supermarket)
    3) Light soya sauce, pepper, sesame oil (for marination)

    Photobucket

Just a little disclaimer before i begin, Capsicum has a very strong pungent smell. You were warned. :) In supermarket, you can find red, green, yellow and even orange capsicum. Red capsicum looks menacing so i got the green capsicum. Haha.

To start, prepare and marinade the chicken breast first! When chicken breast is good, then we start preparing capsicum. Cut off the capsicum's head. Then cut capsicum into half. Once you've done that, all the capsicum smell will burst out. (It is normal if you feel like fainting right now). With the kitchen filled with the stench, endure and cut capsicum into smaller pieces, also removing the seeds inside. (Aren't you glad that you had already prepared the chicken breast earlier?) Wash and soak the capsicum for 3mins. Meanwhile, wait at the living hall, away from the stench.

    Photobucket

I'm sure you can still smell the stench even at your living hall haha. After chicken is nicely marinaded let's start cooking!

    1) Cook Chicken breast 3min, (Do not add capsicum at this point)
    2) Then add the Capsicum to the chicken breast and cook for another 3min. Remember rule of the thumb; vegetables should not be cook for too long, to retain its nutrition and natural crunchy taste!

I now present you the most intimidating chicken breast dish up to date! Chicken breast with nice crunchy capsicum! Frankly speaking do you dare to taste it? This is water boiled capsicum! My reviews: capsicum after cooked lost the smell, the taste is sweet and natural juicy. Not a bad choice, even though i would prefer green vegetables haha.

    Addicted to Subway
Oh man i am addicted to Subway's Oven Roasted Chicken Breast. Today i ordered one foot long, and this is the 4th time i ate Oven Roasted Chicken Breast over the past 2 weeks. I really find their chicken breast very nice and tender. Not very dry like my own chicken breast meal, and not oily either. Now i am trying out the different combination of veggies that fits the best haha. I like tomatoes, but sometimes i skip them when they doesn't look fresh. Lettuce is a must, without lettuce the bread tasted very dry. One combination i think its fairly good is lettuce + Capsicum + Olive. Today i tried without adding any sauce, taste good too! (Most of the sauce like mayonnaise contributes fat, so if can do without its better). Oh ya, i don't buy meal. I bring my own plain water, won't pay extra for the soft drinks.

    Pics taken from Subway.

Yay rollerblade again. Season new wheels.
Wow almost one month never touch my rollerblade nor try out my new wheels. Finally today decided to go skate again haha. I have not season my new wheels yet, i was planning to season them using T-brake and powerslide. Lazy to use sandpapaer to sand off the wax. Thanks to Shanli for the advice. :)

This is before my seasoning. I place all the 4 new wheels on one side, my sliding foot. Make sense since only my right foot will do the slide on the floor. See my wheels still very white and clean.

    Photobucket

I did loads of T-brakes initially, followed by powerslides. This method was really good, pretty soon my wheels became seasoned. Flip them over and season the other side too. Finally when both sides were done, i put them nicely. This is my new setting. One thing i realised after buying my wheels was, that the outermost front and back wheels were smaller than 76mm. So then i know that outermost front and back wheels tend to wear off faster than the middle two wheels. And thus, i put the new white wheels in the middle.

    Take your breakfast!
Dear friends, when was the last time you've ever taken your breakfast? o.0 Don't be amuse by my question, because i do know some friends whom have no habit of taking breakfast. Apart from these minority who doesn't take breakfast daily, a major of the people i know, including my family members, takes unhealthy breakfast. What is unhealthy breakfast? Some common examples:

    1) Economy fried beehoon/kway tiao with chicken wing.
(First meal of the day, you start with oily, deep fried, high fat food?)

    2) Two half boiled watery eggs with coffee/tea/milo from coffee shop.
(Egg is good. But you can do better than just 2 miserable eggs. No complex Carbohydrates? vitamins? Pretty soon you'll be hungry again.)

    3) Two slices of white bread/biscuits with coffee/tea/milo/milk at home.
(White bread is junk with loads of sugar, switch to whole grain bread. Whole grain is complex carbohydrate. Biscuits are simple carbohydrates with high fat.)

    4) Fishball noodles, buns and other noodles.
(Only carbohydrates. You need more nutrients than just carbohydrates.)

    5) Fast food restaurant breakfast.
(No need to comment. Deep fried and more fried. Coke is king of sugar! Full of crap.)

    6) No breakfast, i got no time.
(This is the worst of all. Breakfast is the most important meal, how can you skip?)

These are the common breakfasts i heard, basically to sum it all up, all these breakfast are mainly carbohydrates and sugars from coffee/milo/tea. Carbohydrates is needed as fuel for your body to walk, work, play and everything. Without carbohydrates, you will feel no energy at all. But we need to take complex carbohydrates instead of simple carbohydrates. To cut long story short, complex carbohydrates makes you feel full over a longer period of time, thus you won't eat alot and won't feel hungry fast. Compare eating 5 slices of white bread and 5 slices of whole grain bread, you will feel the difference.

So what is my typical breakfast i take everyday?

    Photobucket

Oatmeals is a must! Very good source of complex carbohydrates. I love to add milk to my oatmeals, so that it tastes smooth and creamy. Milk is a good source for calcium and protein. I choose low fat slim milk instead of full cream. And one food every one tends to miss, fruits! Fruits give good fiber, vitamin C and many other vitamins! Can't do without fruits! If you want to slim down, you need fruits! If you want free from illness, you need fruits! Eat the fruit instead of juice, for the fiber! I have two different fruits everyday. I never had enough of fruits :) Apples, dragonfruits, bananas, kiwis, grapes and papayas are my favourites. Complex carbohydrates, protein, calcium, vitamins, all these good nutrients must be including in your meals, especially your breakfast. Breakfast is the 1st meal of the day, after your body starve for the night, therefore should not be ignored.
