Yes excursion, i love excursion! Today Prata, Crispy and me went to Sentosa. Been ages since the last time i went. Thanks to Prata who suggested this trip.
We reached there around 2pm. Took a cab in and alighted just below the Merlion. $8 to go into Merlion, nope we did not go for it.
We had our goals planned, underwater world. I wondered how many changes since the last time i went 10yrs ago. Now Underwater World ticket cost $22.90 (adult), and complimentary entry to Dolphin Lagoon. That means $22.90 for both Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon, good deal! (15% discount for UOB credit cards, 10% discount for Passion card... even better deal!)
The typical touch pool awaits us after entry. You can touch catfish, puffer fish, starfish and string ray! Tamed string ray don't worry.
Underwater World is segregated into 2 areas: Small fishes and Big fishes. Small fishes area you can see cute marines like seahorse, clown fish, scorpion fish, crabs, and... octopus yucks.
Red crab with long legs
Octopus. If only i can have the chance to see a real big octopus like a Karken.
The big fishes are real disappointing. As if nothing changed at all over the past 10yrs! And also the sharks, groupers seems smaller... i swear i seen bigger fishes at the old aquarium @ Liang Court last time.
After Underwater World we decided to take a stroll to Dolphin Lagoon to catch the 5.30pm performance. What a stroll man, walk until legs almost break lol. Can compare to walking the whole stretch of East Coast Park.
Past by Siloso Beach. Good weather a lot of topless guys and bikini girls. :)
There's a bridge leading to "the most southern island of Asia" from Siloso Beach which i never cross over it before.
Continued past Palawan Beach, had dessert at KouFu foodcourt, past Songs of the sea (Its called Musical fountain in the past), then finally reached Dolphin Lagoon. I can't take a good shot of the dolphins, they appeared very fast and too far. If you never seen these pink dolphins before, its worth a first time. $15 to take a close picture with them.
Sentosa improved alot on their beauty in terms of the beaches and cafes. You don't have to worry about not able to find good food over there. If you have budget, there's foodcourt costing $5 a decent chicken rice or fishball noodles. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Resort World, the Blue-Red Roller coaster seems exciting. Too bad Megazip adventure park haven't open. You can read about it here: Megazip adventure park. Sentosa should grant visitors free entry, what is $2 since the amenities can already bring in good profits.
