Chicken breast salad
Today i'm going to try something different. I'm not going to add any meesua or noodles to my chicken breast. Instead, i am going to add alot of vegetables to make a salad. This is my 1st time making a salad, hot salad. Hot salad meaning all my ingredients are cooked, not raw. Cold salad the vegetables expensive man, one packet cost $7. Why i want to make this salad its because meesua and other noodles are mainly starch, which is not very nutritious. (Highlighted by Prata). Now my salad is healthy to the ultimate! If you think without noodles you will not get your stomach full then you are wrong. Put one WHOLE packet of vegetables and half Chicken breast is enough for me.
Lets see what we need: 1) Chicken breast 2) Shanghai green 1 packet (buy from supermarket) 3) Tomato 1 piece 4) Light soya sauce, pepper, sesame oil (for marination)
To prepare, marinade our chicken breast like as always. Preparing the Shanghai green takes a little bit of effort too. First we have to cut away the bottom where there are many dirt. Then pluck and separate the stalks for washing. Make sure wash away all the dirt. Tomato we cut it into small pieces.
Cooking procedure. 1) Cook Chicken breast 3min, (Do not add in vegetables and tomato yet!) 2) Then add the Shanghai green and cook for 3min. Remember vegetables must not be cook for too long to retain its nutrition and natural crunchy taste!
Tomato no need to cook, squeeze its juice on the chicken breast. After placing the ingredients nicely, Chicken Breast Salad is ready to be serve! My layout got 5 stars restaurant standard?
Mix well and ready to eat! I really like this salad, the Shanghai Green's natural sweet juice complement the Chicken breast's dryness. I can feel water in my mouth! The tomato natural's sourness spice up the taste to make this a fantastic meal!
I bought a dual controller at SimLim Square today, $15 only. I'm going to use it to play some action games like street fighter zero 3, king of fighters, Final Fantasy, dungeons and dragons on my laptop. Took me quite a while to find this controller, price wise and i'm wanted a 6 buttons placed together type, not those 4 buttons playstation controller. Since its a dual controller, two person can play together. :) This dual controller got no brand, very cheap one. Those controllers that support PS3 or Xbox cost at least $40+, nowadays joysticks cost at least $60+. So my one is rather budget deal haha. (Hope my controller doesn't spoilt easily.)
Almost forget to show you guys my Sahara waterbottle "new" look.
It used to look like this:
Exactly one year after buying Sahara waterbottle, i scraped off the dark coating and revealed its natural shinny inner. Why i bother to do this, is because the dark coating started to peel off. I find it not so pleasant to the eye, and so i scraped them off. One lesson learnt is don't buy waterbottle with paint coating. Lucky after my scraping work, Sahara looks brand new! :)
Many thanks to Crispy, we are able to go for the preview of Universal Studios Singapore, Sentosa. The preview is from 5pm to 9pm. Preview means we can only see, cannot play yet. We reached there just nice, 5pm. Now follow me as i bring you to the world of Far Far Away land!
At the entrance. Icon of Universal Studios.
Once you enter the gate, you will step foot on the busy streets of Dreamworks. You can say this is the place to buy souvenirs. They have wide varieties of mementos; tee shirts, cups, bags, figurines, plush toys.
The Darkroom.
Kress
People were rushing to take memorable photos with persona like Shriek, KungFu Panda, Madagascar, Marilyn Monroe, Frankenstein.
At the end of this busy streets, we came upon Madagascar paradise. Remember the big cruise that ferried the Madagascar's animals?
Tiger crossing?
Why is there a skeleton hanging on this enormous tree?
Some forgotten figures. Can't remember their names.
Round about ride. Looks promising for kids.
At the end of Madagascar jungle, we reached Far Far Away land. Shriek's magnificent kingdom! This castle is the center of attraction, must see! 4D theaters will be opening soon.
Awesome?! Too bad its not a hotel or museum that you can go inside and see the interior.
At night the castle got pink hues. (Pic grabbed from Prata)
Don't forget to visit the Fairy Godmother's potion shop. Nice name, its a souvenir shop haha.
Inside really got potions. And a mini ferry wheel.
And an orge hill? Beware of orges???
Anyone miss Jurassic Park? An adventure 65 millions years in the making.
The icon of Jurassic Park! The torches really got fire, think will be nicer at night.
One of the main adventure ride of Universal Studios Singapore is the Jurassic Park boat ride. Dinosaurs will pop up suddenly and scare the shit out of you! Too bad, no chance to play. :<
Dinosauring. Another round about ride for kids.
Dino fountain. Why barricade the fountain? I love watching kids playing inside the water fountain. :S
I think this is for adults. Rock climbing! Cool man. Got chance must try!
End of Jurassic Park. Next is the weird looking Water World. Water World is like a stadium where performance will be held. As the name implies, the stage is like a water stage. (reminds me of Resident Evil IV's water world). The stadium seats are segregated into different areas where audiences sitting at the front will be soaked with water!
Water World is very small place to explore. Quickly walk into the world of ancient Egypt! This is another sculpture that i like. Guess how tall the two sculptures are. Revenge of mummy!
After walking one big round, last but not least, we reached Battlestar Galactica Sci Fri City. Simply said, the roller coaster! This must be the most challenging ride in this theme park. I have never ride a roller coaster that spins 360 degree!
Sci Fi City looks very futuristic, especially the plasma screens on top showing matrix wordings.
And we're done! You have just explored Universal Studios Singapore one round with me. :) Now its time for dinner. Over here there is no familiar KFC, Mac Donalds, Burger King. So enter the restaurants and find out for yourself! :)
Bakery.Located at Shriek kingdom. Selling nice fried chicken and burgers. Their setting looks like canteen.
Mel's. Located at Busy Streets. American burger restaurant. But their burgers not as good as the familiar burgers we had outside. :< Interesting thing to note, you can delicate songs inside.
Oasis Spice cafe. Located at Egypt. Must be spicy!
Gingy house of sweets. Located at Madagascar. Not sell bread???
That marks the end of our preview trip. The $10 ticket is definitely worth the price. Wait for the official opening then go for the rides.
How to get there: Take monorail train from VivoCity. Or Shuttle Bus from Habour Front to Universal Studios Singapore.
