Dainty Alley for breakfast
This morning i made reservation for a necklace from Jelly's blogshop. Have you seen her blogshop? You should! Because their stocks are limited haha, and i do mean "limited" as most designs only came a single piece.
I especially like their Collection II. Collection I was nice, chic, sweet, sunshine, girl next door... Too late, all sold out already! Collection II was slightly different. Apart from the flowery names, Collection II are more simple, yet elegant, appealing to 20s, 30s, office ladies... and of cos to our fast matured teenage girls nowadays :)
Can the size fit? Easy, just take reference from the cutie demonstrating the designs. Theres her 3D size indicated too. My Fatina can't fit. But nevertheless, i picked a necklace for her. Can guess which necklace? :P
remember you hear it first live from~ psy

Today's planning was to explore Hort park. Actually a small mistake here. Actually Hort Park is just a small gardening hub near Alexandra Arch at Hyderabad road. What we want to explore is actually call Southern Ridges. Well, we did arrived outside Hort Park, just that we never went in to explore hehe. How to get here? Take bus 93 from Habour Front bus interchange, eight bus stop.
If you want to know whats Hort Park, read about it here: Hort Park. Maybe next time, Hort Park. We started our expedition at Alexandra Arch. Bright hot sunny day. just nice for some exploring and photo taking. Today my team got good old Crispy and Prata. Southern Ridges is very big, we will explore the right wing today.
Before we came, i was telling Prata how magnificent the long long bridge linking Alexandra Arch. The instant he saw it, he was rather disappointed as the bridge looks like any other ordinary bridge to him. He said too soon, read on.
The bridge is call Forest Trail which brings you an adventure on an elevated walkway through Telok Blangah Hill. To me, it looks like a high up roller coaster walkway, so many curves and turns.
It feels rather shiok to be walking high up in the sky, you can even touch the top of the rain forest. But if you try to look below and walk, think you will get soft legs like me too. Imagine if suddenly the bridge broke?
Saw a funny bird home on tree. Did anyone spotted it too? One and only one i saw through the entire forest trail.
Halfway through the forest trail, there is an option for you to descend and walk the Earth Trail. Very rugged jungle walk lol. Since Crispy don't want, we never explore that.
Walking through the whole Forest Trail was an exhausting 1hour, imagine this was only the beginning. After exiting Forest Trail, we followed the lonely highway to the next stage: Hill top walk.
Hill top means you have to climb a flight of stairs. But we got flowers to lighten our hearts at the end of the stairs. Top of the world!
Did i mentioned there was no washroom no refreshments from Forest Trail until now? After Hill top finally we reach "meeting point 1". Theres washroom, drinks vending machine and even ice-cream man lol. The ice-cream uncle business inevitably good. Queue up for the soul refreshing ice-cream, only $1.
Sunset came. We reached Henderson Waves. We need to cross this wavy looking skyline bridge to our next stage.
Henderson Waves resting area also very unique!
Right after Henderson Waves we came to Faber Walk. This is a boring up slope trail to Mount Faber Park with nothing much to explore. At the end of Faber Walk, there is the Jewel Box. Cable cars still in construction.
The time now is nearly 7pm. Sky was getting dark. The last stage was to bash through the Marang Trail from top of Mount Faber Park down all the way to Vivocity. This was the most exciting stage. Bashing through the forest without any lights after dark totally sends our hearts pumping. 3hours of road march finally came to an end.
There's no one who can lose weight as fast as me. In less than 3 months, i lost 2kg zzz. No wonder people kept saying i'm more slim, each time they saw me. Two months ago i was 58.5kg, now dropped to 56.7kg. I know why i lost weight. I used to eat 5 to 6 meals daily, but ever since i started my new job, i only eat 3 main courses a day. Wow i will never reach my targeted weight 60kg. Now start eat more meals. Buff up time!
Just now, after a round of badminton with Crispy near her house, i got the sudden spur to explore the remains of my old house. Its just in front of Crispy's house anyway haha. Last year when i moved out, HDB already starts to tear down and remove the electricity and lights. I was expecting to see what else was done already, maybe a deserted shell. I surprised to see some folks chilling out at the void deck below. The lift was still working fine, in a perfect clean condition. We went all the way up to the highest level 12th floor (I stayed 12th floor the last time) From 10th floor to 12th floor, corridor lights were on. There are even residents still living! Wonder if the residents just moved in or, were they last time residents whom still haven't move out? I saw my old home. Pitch black, nobody living in it i suppose? But there's a lotus pasted on it, beats me who pasted it. Looking around, slippers outside indicating residents living just beside. I'm sure these are new residents, cause i know my former neighbor already moved out. Who are these people living in this block now? This block is suppose to prepare for tearing down. In fact every floor there are residents, maybe next time i should catch one of them and ask them about it.
Now i realised Golden Village got some competitive weekends rate too. If you purchase weekends tickets using OCBC credit/debit cards, each ticket cost $8. Nice! Same price as Cathay weekend rates haha. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, eve of Public Holiday and Public Holiday, Walk-In Purchase Only.) Promotion valid until 06 April 2010. Good la, i got OCBC debit card, want watch weekend movies at Golden Village can jiou me ^^
I got this very nice OCBC FairPrice Plus Debit Card with extremely good features. No opening deposit is required (Godly! you don't need a single cent to open account) No minimum balance required (No worries about penalty of $2 for not meeting min balance) No monthly service / No annual fee (Free card totally) "All-in-one card" that functions as Visa Debit, NETS/ATM and Link Card and also earn LinkPoints
Forget about Golden Village weekday ticket rates, its $7. Cathay is only $6. Now waiting to see if ILUMA filmgarde got any promotions or not. Its present weekends rate is $9.50 bomb!
Waa dead beat! Today full day exercise. Morning 8.45am went to East Coast Park run with Prata again. Same route, but this morning sun was very hot. When the sun is hot, i got no form to run haha. But we still ran to same workout area and did our exercises and back to the Mac Donalds finishing point. Wonder if i ran too much, my kneecaps hurts :S Think we gonna stick to every sunday morning go run :)
Afternoon i went back East Coast Park again! This time for something interesting and new. Prata, Crispy, Joe0, Joe1 and me going for roller blading! My 1st time ever roller blading haha. I missed the chance to roller blade during my younger days. Never mind its not too late to learn now. I not embarrassed as i am not the only newbie in the group, all of them except for Prata are newbie too muhaha. They too long never play lost touch.
The rate for renting roller blade is $7 nett for 2hrs. This includes the blades, all the safety guards and clean pair of socks. Pretty decent deal, you can just wear slippers to East Coast Park to rent and play. 2hrs were not enough for us to master the skill of roller blading lol. I could barely figure out how to move forward. Looking forward for next blading session, when we finally can maneuver confidently then we can explore East Coast Park. Did we fell down? Yes! 3 times for me.
P.S:I love to learn new things, its never too late to start learning. As long as you got the courage and heart, age is not a factor in consideration. Double joyousness that i can motivate the people around me to step out and try too :)
Almost forget to mention, we had our dinner at a Japanese restaurant "Waa! Ra Gu". (Hokkien means Waa! Wait very long) Indeed the waiting time was damn freaking long. We took 2 hours to finish a simple meal. Everything also must wait! Waited 20mins then took our orders. Waited 30mins for our meals to be serve. Even have to wait 20mins to settle bill lol. Coincidencetally, yesterday i had dinner at this restaurant's Marina Square branch too. And coincidencely yesterday also waited very long. Kudos to the shop name, very suitable, i can't think of a better name either.
Waa my brother shiok la. His company just issued him a $400 voucher. He used it to buy a 22inch Palladine LCD TV monitor to complement his gaming needs :S His company every year will issue vouchers as perks of work. Not bad man. :) But cannot redeem for cash, if not even better haha. Now i think he will be even more glued to his games. New internet 8mbps, new PC, now new monitor. 22inch screen compared to my 14inch screen really alot of difference haha.
Rise and shine! While you are still sleeping comfortably on this Sunday morning, i'm already up at 7.30am. So early woke up because Prata 1st time agreed to go for a morning run at East Coast Park! I can't recall the last time i ever wake up so early on Sunday. Already feeling half hearted when my handphone clock rang. Nevertheless a man never back out. By 8.45am sharp i met up with Prata at Eunos. We took bus 13 to East Coast Park.
To my surprise, there's already alot of people playing there, camping, running, skating, tai jiing. Really got people wake up so early on Sunday haha. We started our warm up outside Mac Donalds, slow pace run towards our End point. Actually theres a few changes of End point (1st time run ECP, so End point not really fixed, more on go by feelings). We first decided to finish at tortoise pond, but it too short for a good shape run. So i suggested the spiral tower beyond Jetti. We ran halfway and felt that its too far, so we decided to end at Jetti. But still too far, we stop at Extreme Skate Park finally lol. We stop running but thats not the end of our training. We woke up so early, come all the way here not just for a ladies run. Near the skate park, we do 3 sets of 6 chin up. Then do 1 set sit up and pumping. Then take off shirt and rest. After feeling really like jelly already, whats next? Slow jog all the way back to Mac Donalds. Not even halfway back i already feel like giving up lol. But Prata was borned runner, hes fit and steady. Endurance is all i left to carry on. In my mind there's only "Tough times don't last, tough man do". When we finally reached Mac Donalds i'm already seening stars.
Grabbed a drink and we walked to Parway parade to eat breakfast, its not even 11am. I believe most people were still sleeping! Finished breakfast we went home, later afternoon we still coming out meet Crispy.
